Today’s Topic: A Change of Trajectory
Today’s Scripture
“So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:10–11, NIV
Today’s Word
God chose Moses to lead the Israelites out of slavery. Forty years before, Moses had made a mistake and killed an Egyptian man. Until this destiny moment, he had been hiding in the desert and taking care of sheep. He had a noticeable problem with his speech. God could have found someone with less baggage, someone more eloquent, someone who looked successful and was dressed to fit into the courts of Pharaoh. But He chose a very reluctant Moses who was certain the Israelites wouldn’t believe God had chosen him and that Pharaoh would despise him. God knew that He had given Moses exactly what he needed to fulfill his assignment.
You may be fighting your calling as Moses did. You may not feel qualified and don’t have the training. The obstacles look too big. But when you step into that calling, there is a supernatural force that will push you into your destiny, a favor that will open doors no person can shut, a power to accomplish dreams you never thought possible. It’s about to change the whole trajectory of your life.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that the calling You put in my heart is far greater than the mistakes and failures I’ve made. Thank You for the supernatural work that You are doing to change the trajectory of my life. I declare that I will fulfill my calling. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL: Go to God and not to people. Get your value, your worth, your approval from your Heavenly Father. If you’re trying to get this from people, you’ll be disappointed. People can let you down, people have issues, things they didn’t get. It’s easy to find fault, “Why wasn’t I raised better? Why won’t my spouse encourage me more? Why won’t my friend acknowledge my accomplishments? Why won’t they give me credit?” It’s almost like, “They owe me something. I’m expecting you to give me this.” A better way to live is, “Nobody owes me anything. My Heavenly Father takes care of me.” If not, we’re dependent on people to keep us happy, our spouse to cheer us up, our friend to make us feel valued. “This coworker needs to show me respect, so I’ll feel good about myself.” Let them off the hook. Quit going to people and start going to God.
